Yes ... the P4 pro is the best ready-to-fly drone for most applications.

If he doesn't want to spend that much. Phantom 3 also works, you just lose some technology.

Yes, a Phantom 4 Pro is perfect for the job. However I would recommend him getting the P4P with the standard controller (GL300F) instead of the P4P+ with the display controller (GL300E). He will most likely need to load third-party apps (like Drone Deploy) and the standard controller with a tablet is much better for that.

Not just technological frills.
The camera on the P4 pro is about 10 x better than what comes on the P3 series (or the original P4).
