Hi All,
I'm sure others have done this, but I just thought I'd share in case people were toying with the idea of getting further filters. I adjusted the stock gimbal clamp of the P4 to allow housing of the camera with Polar Pro filters attached. (the filters are a little wider than the stock UV filter, so this adjustment or an alternative clamp is needed). To be sure I carried out the adjustment on £4 second clamp from the DJI store with delivery in the UK in just under a week.
Take a look at the attachments to see what I did. In my opinion it works just as well. I found a medicine pot which fits very nicely over the camera and the new 'lip' of the clamp, giving much better protection against dust etc. Plus changing the filters is now a breeze as you can do this whilst the camera is nicely held firm by the clamp.
As an aside I also bought an official DJI ND16 filter and I found that the paint job inside was poorly applied, covering some of the threads which prevented it being screwed down all the way (and not fitting in the clamp because of this). So therefore very happy with the Polar Pro's. No footage to show yet, but here's another video we took recently that might be of interest:
Thanks and happy flying, Will
