500 Meter Flight Range Limit????

Was flying my Phantom Standard today and it told me I had reached the 500 meter (1640 feet) range limit. Checked my settings and yup... DJI has set the max GPS flight range to 500 meters.

You can turn that off where it says "distance limit" (above the 500m setting).
