So I have the strangest thing happening. All of my videos are edited in FCPX, using compressor for 4k youtube or even just plain 4k (basically the setting doesn't mater) every single time, it only shows the max resolution to play as 1440. Ok so, maybe its my browser? Nope, even on the 4k tv with native youtube app, still only max 1440. Now heres the kicker. In the youtube video manager, if you hit edit. You get a larger version of the video and you can hit play in that window. and THERE, it only gives 1440 and 2160. so whats the deal? I have read all the settings guides on youtube and optimized for the best settings. I have got to be missing something. I just don't understand why the video manager gives me 2 & 4 K options but the player gives everything up to 4k.
Note, its been plenty of time so its not a processing and wait time thing.
