333 Exemption Transferrable?

Has anyone ever purchased a company that holds a FAA 333 exemption? Would the exemption convey if the business was lawfully acquired? If an individual obtains an exemption, can they be contracted by another individual or company to perform commercial work that requires the exemption? Thanks in advance for the insight!

I can't say for certain but you would likely have to amend the 333 exemption which would need to be approved by the FAA.

And yes, you can contract people/companies with 333 exemptions to work on your behalf. The pilot does not need to be from that company either. The pilot is the only one who can pilot the drone and he has to follow the rules of the exemption.
