P3 Firmware 1.5.3 trapped

Is there any way to update firmware on a pro copter with the camera and gimbal broken? Currently it is at 1.5.3 kinda worried. No problems yet but still nervous. I have tried many times with sd cards in the cam base but it never gives the da da da da sounds. Led on base flashes red and green about 3 mins then flashing green about 3 mins then back to red and green. I have let it go for 1 hour no change and no txt files on the sd card.

What does the .TXT file on the SD card say?

It does not leave one. Was thinking because gimbal and camera are disconnected it doesn't try to update. I tried to roll it back to 1.4 and same thing happens.
