I'm getting peeved with these things. I can only fly about 1,100 ft. at around 600 ft. altitude. Made a reflector out of an aluminum can. Looks cool, but worthless. Any recommendations? TIA

Nobody? Really? Hey, boss what's your price? I just picked up a brand new P3S for $200 (OfferUp. ZERO flight time) and one from Facebook Marketplace (no RC) for $80.

With the new firmware, flying without the app is limited to 30 meters. Horizontal distance to 50. Blazing stars... So how do I undo the upgrade, or work-around?

Checked with father-in-law. He bought his without gimbal, he doesn't use the app, and he has no height restriction.

Turned off in the app already. The other (I) have never flown with the app, strictly RC. No height or distance limits, outside signal issues. Thanks though.

Got the altitude issue resolved, or so I thought. Put the gimbal back on and, without using the DJI Go app, flew the P3S high enough that I couldn't see it. Landed, removed the camera/gimbal. Next day (today) drone wouldn't fly higher than 100' or so {rear LEDs flash red/green at that...

Got it. It wasn't Beginner Mode. I had to push the top switches to the UP position.

First, please don't recommend looking at YouTube videos. I can't find what I need. Also, I can barely make out the words on this tiny screen, so downloading the user manual won't help me. When I power on my P3, it takes several minutes for the P3 to link to the RC. I've tried calibrating the...

Phantom 3 Standard. Syncs with remote swiftly. P3 lifts off and flys, very smoothly, EXCEPT when hovering. When hovering, it jitters, stutters, jerks, whatever the correct terminology. It seems as if it's trying to rotate left, then rights itself (200 times a minute). Please help.

I think this might be it. I tried the other remote, which DID NOT WORK AT ALL. The P3 will always fly, it just takes a while. For the IMU I suppose. I can't get the app to do anything past the camera screen (I have no gimbal/camera). Thanks, all.

Correct. 1 is labeled 4 and later. I download the (obvious) earlier version.

I can't find instructions that don't involve using the DJI Go app.
