FS: Phantom 2 with FPV setup - Brand new

Hello all, I have a brand new DJI Phantom 2 drone/quadcopter with Zenmuse H4-3D gimbal, along with a Black Pearl FPV (First Person View) setup. This is the second version setup of the Phantom 2. It includes the rechargeable flight controller (RC) with the scrolling side gimbal tilt...

H4-3D gimbal only tilts about 15 degrees

Good to hear the info worked for you, JustinJames. :)

Zenmuse H4-3D (can we get a new Topic mods?)

Oh, okay. Thanks Reoscorpio! I appreciate it. Then that is one less issue I have to worry about. Now I just need to balance my H4-3D gimbal for my HERO3 and I should be all set. Thanks again for the info!

H4-3D gimbal only tilts about 15 degrees

Another question. I read a couple of other posts on here about the gimbal needing to be balanced. I never even thought about the gimbal being out of balance. I bought the P2 with the H4-3D, but I am using a HERO3 GoPro on it. It flops to one side when the Phantom is powered off as in a video...

Zenmuse H4-3D (can we get a new Topic mods?)

Interesting info, QYV. I never even thought about the gimbal being out of balance. I bought the P2 with the H4-3D, but I am using a HERO3 GoPro on it. It flops to one side, as your original video. However, when I turn on my Phantom and the gimbal resets and such, it actually faces down at a...

    Gimbal insanity!

Anthony, I appreciate the info. That is what I ended up doing. Found a YouTube video on it, so it made it a bit easier as well. :) I'm actually all set and good to go. Just waiting on my FPV monitor holder to come in and then my setup is complete at this point.

H4-3D gimbal only tilts about 15 degrees

Bingo! Thanks a bunch, Mako! That fixed it. I calibrated the controller/transmitter via the RC Assist app (connected to the controller) and then agaunb with the Phantom app (connected to the Phantom itself). After that and setting both the horizontal and vertical on the advanced gimbal...

H4-3D gimbal only tilts about 15 degrees

Thank you, Mako! I'm guessing by RC12, you mean the DJI RC Assist app/program, correct? That I haven't done yet. I mean, I used it to make sure the firmware was updated, but I didn't calibrate anything. Funny thing is, they don't tell you to do any of that on the "quick start guide" with the...

H4-3D gimbal only tilts about 15 degrees

I finally bought the P2 v2 with the H4-3D gimbal combo (and a Black Pearl FPV system with upgraded pentalobe antennas). I got it yesterday and installed the iOSD Mini, the anti-interference board, the H4-3D gimbal and the ImmersionRC 600mW transmitter for the FPV. I then performed the...

    Gimbal insanity!

TeamYankee - I was even thinking about that, but I know a ton of people initially preferred the GoPro over the Vision/Vision+. I'm sure the P3 is different and probably much better than the P2 V/V+, but it made me wonder. Plus, I already have the GoPro HERO3 Black, so it would be cheaper...

    Can you paint the P2?

Cool. I might have to look into that option then. If it ever seems like an issue, I can always pull it off and then just paint anyway. :) Thanks for the thought and option!

    Gimbal insanity!

Ok folks... This H4-3D vs. H3-3D is giving me a headache. LOL It is like gimbal insanity! LOL I've been doing a ton of studying and searching about which gimbal to get. I haven't purchased my P2 v2 yet, so I can either go with the P2 v2 with H3-3D or the P2 v2 with H4-3D. It is only a $40...

    Can you paint the P2?

**** you move fast, Fyod! ;-) LOL Seriously though, thanks for the info. It doesn't appear that the stuff should be that heavy and looks like it is a heck of a lot easier to take off than trying to repaint. I appreciate the video! Plus, looking at the PlastiDip website, they have a ton of...
