As @Starz says, they are removable. Undo the 4 screws (carefully and don’t loose them) at the back of the controller. Carefully split the controller a little and slide the back of the controller rearward a touch to disengage from the antenna mount. Open up the 2 halves gently and disconnect...

Strange plus & minus here in NI (UK) over the next couple of days also. In NI I think we make the rain and send it around the rest of the world. The only weather I won’t fly in is the rain, the coldest has only been minus 6. It doesn’t seem to get any colder than that here.

I’d go with the 4. My mini 4 is exclusive for my drones .... no issues yet. Handles everything well and smoothly.

Yes we can all be forgetful at the wrong time. Since I turned all my protectors and guards red in colour and fitted ‘remove before flight’ tags to them all I haven’t had and issue. Do whatever works for you. I also carry a ‘pre’ and ‘after’ flight check list .... it all works.
