Ok .Tried to link the remote to the ac manually can not get them to link. Lights on the AC still blink yellow. Light on the remote still red. small red light on AC did blink when I tried linking it. The blue light on the remote did beep.. Any suggestions?

You could have mismatched firmware between controller and aircraft causing your problem had that problem once sent it to @Ted4797 to figure it out for me good luck

If that is the reason, he can do that by himself. Update the firmware for the RC and then for the drone. Don't forget to do that for each battery as well. They upgrade automatically when you push them into the drone.
Just to be sure, did you push the switch inside that small hole at the base of the gimbal?

My problem is I can't afford a new one I owe to much for my new pacemaker! ? but one day maybe I will get a new one I'm still flying a phantom v.1 ? but it's fun just can't go very far!
