Wifi extender mod.

So I bought the WiFi extended from Amazon. The extender does not let the antenna sit straight up. Would it hurt the signal if I cut the bottom corner just enough so the antenna sit up?

Could you leave it intact and alter the position of the controller with your hands to maintain relative position to the drone? I had something similar on my PS3 and just changed the angle of the controller.

I haven't tried it yet. Yesterday, we had up to 20mph wind gusts. Was not going to take that chance. Taking it out today.

So I'll say this extender game my bird roughly 30%-40% more range. Mind you I'm in a very congested are (Detroit). The only con is that I have to keep it pointed at the bird at a long distance. Not bad for under $15. Next I'm going to file down the corners. I don't like having to angle the remote upwards at times. Another thing I noticed the cuts for the antennas were a little off.

What type of mobile device are you using? If your antenna are straight up, will you then be able to angle your device screen as you prefer?

I'm using a note 5. I'll try and slide the extender up a little but then the antenna won't be thrive the upper holes. I'll see if it will still give me the sane range.
