Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a new FPV build and haven’t decided which motors to get yet. In the past, I’ve used T-Motor, which I feel performs really well in terms of stability and efficiency, but the price is a bit higher.

I also see a lot of people recommending Emax and Sunnysky as good value-for-money options, especially for beginners. BrotherHobby seems to have a strong reputation among high-performance pilots, though I haven’t personally tried them yet.

So I’m curious: 👉 What’s your go-to motor brand? 👉 Where do you usually buy your motors — official websites, Amazon, or retailers like GetFPV / Banggood?

Recently I’ve been looking into different suppliers and noticed some big differences in price and after-sales service. Would love to hear about your experiences so I can avoid making rookie mistakes.

Thanks a lot for sharing 🙏

Hi, @dronedrone, apart from T-Motors, my go to motor brand is probably Sunnysky and Emax motors, because they're pretty cheap and still retain their build quality. BrotherHobby motors are extremely good. Their price is pretty high, but I guess if you're looking for a top- tier choice these are the best. I would definitely recommend buying any motors from a reputable company, as some identical looking versions that can be found of places like AliExpress, but can be either of poor quality (miss- aligned shafts etc.), or fake clones. I have bought motors off Ebay, and they were alright. Guess it depends on who is manufacturing them though.
Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you,Daniel,I heard that, in China, T-motor is ranked the second-largest brand in the drone industry, second only to DJI, so I wanna try to buy some T-motor products in AliExpress or TAOBAO

Ok, cool. Just be careful of AliExpress. Most stuff is reasonable but only buy stuff that is genuine. You can usually tell by looking at the label on the motor and looking up the model number, brand etc. ;)

Agree. I've been burned by Ali on occasion by misrepresented products that appears genuine until it arrives and realize the fine print I missed. I've had success as well so caution required.
