What is the best video/picture editing software

Sony Vegas. Probably nothing out there as good as this for the price. About 30 bucks on amazon I believe. As close as you can get to a professional software. Used to be 130 bucks!

But you'll need this:

It is a bit overwhelming but totally do-able.

Don't forget Windows Movie Maker... Free!

@len750,
I wanted to download Movie Maker for my Windows 10, from the Microsoft website, but couldn't get it to load separately without the rest of Elements 2012.
Is there a way to avoid it loading the other options, I already tried custom setup, and chose only Movie Maker, but could see in the download window, that it was loading the other parts as well?

Get Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Lightroom creative cloud, per month subscription. Powerful means your stuff looks heaps better than with cheap software.

I agree ! Sony Vegas is very easy to learn and yet is packed full of features . Takes me about 10 minutes to show someone how to use the basics and has a very good help / tutorial built in. I actually own a tv studios and many of the vt's over the years have been created in Vegas as it's quick to do stuff.
