But DJI have never said that they actively collect your flight data and there is no way they can unless you choose to share it with them.They aren't collecting data from flights?? DJI has admitted to collecting data from their own site including "free use of information to 3rd parties"....
That's a standard legal disclaimer, just like you'd find for all kinds of products and services.
Have you read the fine print on your mobile phone contract or your credit card?
If you are concerned about a loss of privacy, what are you doing about what Google or the NSA does.

Since it's so easy to fly without sharing any data with DJI, that would appear to be due to the potential for hackers to control the drone - something that's not a concern for recreational fliers.
