I'm presently flying a P2V+ and I have just been asked if I could use my quad for a particular project that would involve investigating small, difficult to access, areas within a building to determine if asbestos is present before demolition. I know I cannot do this with my present quad, but was wondering what the flying accuracy is with the P3, within say a long 5' wide by 11' high enclosed curved corridor that runs the length of a large building and has some obstructions within. It would have to be flown POV and not LOS. But it looks like the P3 only scans downward and doesn't have a true obstacle avoidance feature in all directions. Is that a fair assessment?

Vps is very hit and miss. I've never seen it work properly. You are going to run into problems not flying LOS. The p3 is amazing but it doesn't have magical powers that that will send the signal through wall's. Sounds like it's a job for a specialist asbestos crew in suits and breathing gear.
