The past several months have generated a number of forum members and clients asking about battery error messages. Many people are getting battery errors or messages indicating they have a broken battery cell.
In our experience this error seems to track with the battery cells being out of balance (and other reasons). One cell voltage seems to get too high or too low. This happens on pretty much all models of DJI batteries (from Spark to Matrice).
DJI Battery Warranty: 6 months or 200 Charging Cycles
If you have a receipt showing your battery / drone purchase in the last 6 months and have less then 200 charging cycles on your battery, DJI will cover it under warranty.

We have heard about people removing the tops of DJI batteries and trying to get the cells properly balanced (on out of warranty batteries) with varying levels of success. Unless you are experienced with this, we would not recommend it. If you can get a replacement under warranty thats great - if not, it might be better to retire the bad battery.
