Hi
Would a Mavic Pro purchased in the US have the same specs and be legal to fly In the UK. I only ask as some one is sell one they purchased in the US and brought it back to the UK
Yes it should be fine. When you fly it in the UK, it will notice from GPS positioning where you are and limit the range/controller signal strength based on the more restrictive EU regulations. You will of course need the proper plug/adapter so that you can charge your batteries in the UK.
Thank you for your reply. When charging would this simply be a case of plaguing the us plug into a uk adaptor or does it need a complete new charging system?
It depends on the power supply itself. Most computer and small electronics these days have a power supply that can accommodate input voltage from 100 to 240 volts. The Mavic should have this type of power supply. To make sure just look at the writing/specifications on the power supply itself. Look for INPUT VOLTAGE. If it says something like 100 - 240 volts then you're fine and you won't need anything other than the correct prong adapter. Better yet, see if you can purchase the power cord for UK. Look on the DJI website even. Probably available for just a few pounds.
