So all new dji drones over 250g will have ads-b receivers. Likely on a path for BVLOS approval etc. It’s a good idea but they quote faa will require all manned aircraft to have ads-b transmitters by 2020. That’s not exactly correct. Only those aircraft transitioning through controlled airspace will be required. So in G the PIC will still need to be vigilant using see and avoid.

I agree. Sadly however, once the system is released in commercial drones someone will eventually say that the system didn't warn them. It seems inevitable IMHO.
