Thinking of using propeller guards?

But fly dawg said 'clip a tree'. You said you bumped into a vertical stone... which does not have leaves and branches sticking out everywhere. Big difference. Also prop guards make great drone hangers when it's stuck in the top of a tall tree.

I bought detachable prop guards the first few weeks of owning my first Phantom, mainly so I'd have the plates that screw onto the bottom of the motors. Never use the guards though.
 
Yes umanbean, trees are not the only things you can bump into when flying in close proximity to buildings, cliffs and the like.

I'm still waiting to hear why they "seriously affect performance"? I certainly haven't noticed it.
