TERRIBLE P4 Range?

Just dropped $1,200 on a Phantom 4 and the range is pathetically bad. I could only fly it for 2400 feet before the connection crapped out on me and it started the RTH.

Yes, my antennas are positioned correctly.
I am flying over a suburban area so I know my distance won't be great but a half a mile??

Is this standard for P4s?

If you don't want to drop the money on an Inspire RC, check out a set of Wind Surfers. They help and they're cheap.

mine went 3 miles before weak transmission signal, then RTH kicked in( plenty of juice left in battery and could've went further),so I did some R&D on antenna's and which was the best and gave Jake a call at MaxxUAV.com and got his DBS ITE LITE panel along with the black screw on ones which go great with the clean install kit I purchased as well now don't get the weak trans signal no more
