Found a solution to sticky battery insertion and removal.
Get some silicon grease (make sure its the thick stuff) for diving, plumbing etc, do not confuse this with other grease, this stuff is virtually clear and plastic safe. (consistency of jelly).
On each battery side, put a small amount in the grove and wipe off any excess (it only needs to be in the grove).
Do both sides of battery.
