Sticks seem sluggish...

Is that possible?
Fresh battery. Suddenly today, the sticks didn't give much reaction. The drone was within 100' and the sticks just didn't do as much as they had yesterday.
I don't think this is my imagination, but your sage wisdom is solicited.
