Thought I'd share my constructed Sony action camera mount. Will still probably spring for the Hero 3 black but this vid camera does have some nice feature compared to the competition plus it was only 179.00 a couple of months ago. Basically used an acrylic sheet bought from Home Depot. Cut with my Dremel and a carbon fiber cutting wheel. CA glue used to join the parts together. Have since updated the velcro to Scotch heavy duty fasteners. With this fastener it clips in more like a lego part. The velcro was good because it seemed to help reduce vibration but allowed a little play between the camera and the mount. Going to try a combination of velcro and a small section of the HD fastener.

Nice install! Looking forward to seeing how that Sony works out... I had considered getting that camera.

I'm still in the development stages right now and making updates here and there. I need to take some newer photos of the mount which I will do when I have the chance. First off, 2 of my motors appear to be way off balance where I'm addressing those now with my Du-Bro balancer. Saw the post here that helped me take the next step to try and get these babies back in balance. Sure wish I could have gotten the Graupner e-props four weeks ago when I placed my misc order when they showed in stock but of course they weren't. Sprung for the newer black dji 8x4 props but they look to be the exact same as the white but I like the look of the black. Painted my landing legs black where I like that as well. Video is still rough, but I attribute that to my motors and my old props which got out of whack. Here is a short clip that I pulled while out flying with my dogs that is interesting. The next video is an attempt after I made a change in the mount design but still had a ton of vibration in the craft.

Video looks clear, it's just the jello that's killing it. I would recommend mute the sound and throw some music.

Get this mount, you will not regret it. You can attach you existing mount to this mount to eliminate your jello issues but you'll still need to balance those props. Good Luck!

That mount which looks identical to the dji mount they made for their gimbal looks like the way to go. Thanks for sharing. Went ahead and placed the order. Seems like a fair price.
