No bodies are buried there surely, it's just something the hundreds of visitors started doing - like in other places they pile rocks into cairns?
Possibly some ashes are left though :?

I doubt any bodies are buried there ? I think people for years and years make cairns and tombstones for ones passed away.
It's an eerie place, very quiet... Especially when the mist comes down.
Caverns at the base and a scree hill to the ascent , derwent water to the North.
