I'm getting ready to send in my P3S to have the shell replaced after finding stress cracks (again) but my controller won't fit into the original box after mounting an Inspire 1 Device Holder to it.

Is it absolutely necessary that I include my controller? All that they're (hopefully) going to do is replace the lower shell on the drone itself. Can I send it in without the remote, or will they contact me saying that they need it? And if they do need it, will they refuse/charge me when they see that the remote has been modified?

Thanks!

I modified mine and they still gave me a new one under warranty. The modification has to be the cause of the problem, in order for the warranty to be void. Anyways, I don't think you'd need your remote. They do test fly them after any repairs though. I'm sure they have extra remotes to test with. You'll of course have to re-bind yours when you get it back.

Not even SD card ..... all they need is the model itself.

My P3P is on its way to Repair shop ... just the AC .. accompanied by other AC's of other owners ...
