Self healing MP4

I had about a 12 min video going in my P2Vision yesterday. When it landed I made a mistake and powered down the Phantom before stoping the recording. As soon as I downloaded it to my ipad I knew I had screwed up. Instead of a freeze frame from the video all I saw was a grey box that said MP4. I tried to watch the video but all I got was a cannot perform operation message. I did a search on repairing corrupt video files but only found links to a bunch of tools (mostly windows based) that cost way more than this bit of video was worth. Today, after making some more videos and downloading them, I was surprised to see a 12 min file with screen shot from yesterday's flight. Somehow the video had become readable and I can view all but the last few seconds.
