Seek Thermal via P2V+ wifi using rasberry pi?

Ok so I am in Law Enforcement and came across an interesting post on DIY Drones:
Thermal Camera Works in Mission Planner HUD
So I am reading this and thinking wow I own a Seek Thermal Camera, and I own a P2V+ I wonder how hard this would be to make this work. So upon reading further I see they use all open source programs that I have never heard of. I am curious has anyone thought about this type of setup to get a thermal camera on a drone? Thanks

I'd like to know how he overcame the Phantom's sensitive gimbal... adding even 10 grams can make them misbehave. Interesting system though...

I don't think he did. I watched the video and when they show the Vision Plus the camera is pointed straight down.
