Request for simple spare: DJI's response

I recently tore the thin ribbon wire on my H3-D2, a part that can't cost more than a few dollars.

I emailed DJI support to see if they could simply sell me the part so i could fix it myself, here is their response:

We don´t have this as a spare part! You can send it to us for repair. It will be approx. 80€ + tax & S/H
When this would be ok for you I will send you further Information!

So, by my reckoning, that's about €150 / £125 / $207 (possible more).

While I realise it is a specialist part that is custom made, surely they must be able to source me one from unused stock due to the discontinuation of this product or from broken units.

Absolute BS.

I was clamoring for a DJI part, the ribbon cable for the iOSd mini, and same thing from DJI and the company I brought it from who did say they would give me an RMA.

Point is, it's a $.50 part and should be supported by DJI.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found it for $20.00 on Amazon, 2 day shipping.

Try Amazon is my best advice and hope that DJI wakes up. There's a lot of money to be made in the after market and parts market for Phantoms, not to mention they are obligated to support their own products.

Cheers for the reply. I've looked everywhere, you just cannot buy this part :roll:

The only thing I can do is find a second hand / damaged one and extract the part or buy a new one .
