Range Extender Mod.

I would like to ask if it's possible to modify my DJI Phantom 2 Vision plus Range Extender to extend my Go pro Hero 3 wifi signal to my phone?
I have problem with my on board camera. I have a hero 3+ action camera and i want to add a 3 axis gimbal to my phantom and to extend my camera wifi signal from the drone up high to my phone through the RE700 Range Extender?.

Buy a new drone. The money you'll spend on that gimbal on mod will buy you a refurbished Phantom 4.
