question about the dji app

The DJI Go app connects to devices and communicates with them. It does not need to be connected to the Internet in order to do this.

If you want live maps and satellite pics, you will need an internet connection but I think you can pre-cache them and not having them won't stop you flying. In fact, if you are just learning - ignore everything I have just said until you have the basics mastered.
