Quadcopter props spinning then device cuts out

Hi All, i'm desperatley looking for advice.
I bought a quadcopter for my sons birthday he used it once under supervision and it worked a treat. The day after, he powered it up and as you push the accelerator forward to take off, the propellers spin then the drone cuts out all together. I'm on the verge of returning it but hoped it may be something simple.

Do you have any suggestions?

What brand (make) and model of said quadcopter is this in reference too?

Yes, i have 5 batteries all fully charged.

Its a Syma X5SW-1

Please pull back the connection wires from the socket and connect them to the battery directly....
