When you update via the Go app, the ac and tx are both on until done. Many posts here say to leave the tx off when doing the update via the sd card. That said, when is the tx updated? Other methods describe leaving both tx and ac on during sd card update. Confused.
Thanks

No-one I believe has the exact answer ... even DJI cannot agree amongst themselves !!

I revert to Youtube and watch what owners do ... and compare many till I get a consensus ...

Never failed on my P3S ....

So you leave your tx on as described by yourself in previous posts? "Tx on, ac on without sd card, then insert sd (with .bin file) card and brew cup of tea." Others describe leaving the tx off during this process. So this begs another question. Are we updating firmware in the tx, or is it static/set and only ac is updated?

AAAA HAAAAA ... that is ze question mein herr !

Ve hav vays to make yu talk !!

OK .. jokes aside ... I never had trouble with Controller and AC on at same time to update.

The FW is supposed to update all three ........... RC / AC / Batterys .............. so I leave that one to be worked out .. of course other batterys are updated by the bin file on that card ..

You can understand that I am reluctant to be THE guru on this - whatever the reason - because so many people have troubles - I do not want to be blamed ...

Aaah, Nigel. And here I thought you were the guru:) Anyhow, I question whether the tx is updated, or needs it. Wonder what happens when those who turn off tx while updating ac, does the ac then update tx when turned on? NO one has mentioned anything about the tx after the update and first turn on. Interesting. Frankly, my p3's have been running great on old firmware. If it aint broke dont fix it!

I have always left both on, no issues so far
