Post your Phantom 1 mods.

Had about the same thing happen to me LOL. Then i threw the P2V props on with NOTHING else on the quad the the flight times were CRAZY long compared to what i was doing. I didnt time them and just landed at the first sight of battery warning light. I bet i got 13-15 min of AGGRESSIVE flight. I was really impressed! Im also now putting a gimbal on and my gopro and will be ordering a FPV set up in the new few weeks. LOL. Goes from light as can be to a flying hippo. Im sure i will be looking for larger batteries shortly :D

Monitor showed up, and after waiting for the rain to stop, I finally got to try it out. I went cheap on the complete package because I'm just using this for my own enjoyment, and couldn't see putting more than the phantoms price into an accessory for it. It works as good as I'd hoped, and better than i'd expected. I've gotten ~500' range out of it, but the weather hasn't been the best so I haven't pushed it to see when it cuts out.
It's an rc5808 rx with generic "ultra small" tx set from ebay, and a seetec monitor also from ebay. (I would suggest ordering just the monitor and a deans style to xt60 adapter) I soldered the rx and monitor cords together to use one phantom battery.

For any of you running the mobius with fpv, can you record stills on the camera and get video feed on the fpv? Is the fpv stills?
And to answer my previous question, YES you can record stills and get a video feed to your monitor. It WONT work with the timelapse set to less than 2 second intervals (had mine set at 1s and the photos came out weird..) but I have mine set at 5s now and it works fine. You get video feed up until it takes the photo, it pauses on the still, then blackscreen flash and back to video feed. Definitely not something you'd want to use with goggles, or solely fpv, but it works great for lining up shots and knowing when the shot is taken.

Hi Guys
First post and a newbie but I am blown away with my V1.1.1

I have the following on mine and have also made it a FPV machine.

So far I've put P2V props on it

Standard DJI batteries-I can get flight times of up to 6-8 minutes if I fly slow, and depending on the wind speed

I am about to order a DJI mini IOSD as everyone who has one states they are a fantastic add on.

I really am very interested in seeing the battery voltage , as my biggest fear is losing the Phantom due to low voltage

FPV-I'm using a Fat Shark Attitude set up with the Fat Shark TX and using the Spironet antennae on both RX & TX.

I like the Fat Shark goggles but have had a number of friends want to see vision so have just bought a 7" LCD TFT Colour Monitor 2CH off EBay for $ 40. So far so good haven’t flown more than 500 mt away but good results so long as you don’t go behind any structure.

The camera is a GoPro3 black on an anti-jello mount connected to a brushless gimbal which works very well but I have noticed how it now flies rather sluggishly but I don't mind too much as am still flying and learning , so slowly , slowly is my motto.

I would be interested to hear anyone’s thoughts on how I can improve the package :D

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've put together a series of videos showing my installation of the Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal on my Phantom 1.1.1.

20+ minutes airborne...

He Clipper,
I'm not trying to drudge up old crap from the past, but I do want to know if you remember if your settings in NAZA were a bit low on the voltages.

I just screwed up my voltage settings and fried a couple MultiStar 4000s. **** impressive flight times though; I had 1 flight in 20 gusting to 26 mph winds which lasted 20:55 and that was at 4,390 ft MSL ( http://www.phantompilots.com/thread...one-multistar-4000-battery.40441/#post-374663 ).

I have no recollection on that, sorry.

Instead of trimming the battery door I just removed it and use velcro to secure the battery. I prefer this to trimming the door and shell, it takes alot of stress of the cables and connectors.

Hey Woody,
What size battery is that?

It's a YKS 2700. I've been getting 16 1/2 minutes after 20 flights, it was getting 17 minutes when it was new, no camera with default settings. I'm thinking about trying a BlackMagic 3000 next time I need a battery but I've already got too many that need to be used up before justifying another purchase. I'm also tempted to lower the settings a little, what would you recommend?

I recommend you go to the FC40 forum and read my thread 20 minute flight.
Please don't post to the thread, I'm hoping it fades away.
Don't lower your settings unless they are too high. It's expensive.
