Point of Interest feature for PV2+?

I love my Phantom Vision 2+ but one thing which disappoints me is the inability to indicate a point of interest such as a building and then have the drone fly around it while keeping it in shot the whole time. Why isn't this a feature of the DJI Vision app? Surely the drone is capable of this since it flies just as easily sideways or backwards as forwards. I have been looking at third party apps which have this such as Litchi, is it worth buying one or will this feature be added to the Vision app in an update?

I bought the litchi app a couple months ago. the POI feature is extra $ so keep that in mind - the total I paid was around $15. overall the litchi app on my samsung s5 is a little glitchy. I have to clear the "google play services" app cache every flight. the POI feature works very well. my only suggestion is to manually fly your phantom to a decent altitude and then launch the POI mission.
