Phantom leg within GoPro video?

Hello all,

Newbie question (as I want to learn before I see some things for myself out in the field):

I just installed my GoPro 1 under the Phantom using GoPro mount and guess... I have the phantom leg in sight of the GoPro. What am I doing wrong?

try resetting your go pro to a narrower field you probably have it set in wide angle mode.

Yep, it's wide angle. I looked into the same. But it's a GoPro 1 for now; so it can do 60 fps only at the wide screen setting (For eliminating jello).

I have this problem too.

I need to position my gopro aiming more downward and it seems to pick up the landing legs in the pictures / videos.

I have mine pointed slightly downward and I've had no issues with the landing gear showing up in my videos. It may not help since you are using a GoPro 1, that may not offer the additional features of narrowing your lens view.
