Phantom 2 range

Hi,

I tested recently my phantom for distance.
But I only get 70meters in height and 50 meters in distance , so this iw aprox. 85 meters in total.
I get a disconnect from wifi and control. is this normal?
I thought the specs stated 400meters

Keep trying. It will go a lot further than that.
Keep the side of your antenna pointing at the bird - not the tip.

I found it already strange how they said the antenna should be point in the manual

Is the range extender turned on? I have seen 1200m on a standard V+!
