Phantom 2 Controller LED???

I just purchased a phantom 2 and noticed a solid red light on my controller. I already have a Vision and the controller light is green. Is there a difference between the two?

Yes. The P2 has a 2.4 GHz Tx and the P2V a 5.8 GHz one. Apparently DJI felt the need to let them have different colour LEDs.
