P4P Battery in P4

I have both models. Is there any noticable difference in using the longer life P4P battery in a P4? I have done the reverse with a P4 battery in the P4P and with the exception of sorter range it worked fines. Wasn't sure if the P4 would be able to detect and use the extra capability.

I have a couple of P4P batteries on order and will report results later on. But thought I would ask in case someone has already done it.
