P4 regular signal loss

Pretty much every time I fly my p4 it looses signal, with either a warning of weak signal or total loss. It's even initiated rth a couple of times.
Most of my flights are on open land and close to me 80-300 ft max.
I also get intermediate video loss too.
I'm running an iPad on latest dji go (3.1.2)
I've only flew it about 30 times.
Is it faulty or am I doing something wrong?
