I have a brand new battery for my P3 and the second time I tried to charge it I got an error with the 3rd LED flashing 3 times as soon as I plug it into the DJI charger. I looked in the manual and it says it is an "Over-Voltage Charger Detected" error. The same charger works fine with my original battery.

I am able to charge the battery by powering it on first and then attaching the charger. Once charged it seems to operate normally in the P3.

Is there a fix for this? Or should I return the battery for a new one?

It charged fine the first time to 100%. I ran it down to about 40% before trying to recharge it.

It sounds like a cell is out of balance, possibly over charged one cell somehow. Have you checked the battery info page on the Pilot App to see how the individual cells look?
