Out of sight flying with Garmin GTU-10 Tracker?

Can you use the the Garmin phone/tablet app for out of sight flight?

If you get your Phantom up over the trees and power lines, is it possible that you could follow the roads just looking at the app?

Let's say you get your Phantom up to a safe height. Turn on the Garmin app that allows you to view in real time. I'm assuming that it will be a little blip on a map that you can track? So, you could follow the roads using the blip?

I hope that makes sense....

It's not in real time. Your main problem will be getting your heading right. It's honestly going to be impossible or nearly that.
