So I just Ordered A Nvidia shield K1 as a dedicated tablet for my P3s. This device isn't available in Oz so I had to order in from Amazon which will take up to 7 days to arrive :(
In the mean time is there anything I should do to the tablet for optimal performance? It comes with android lollipop pre-installed, should I keep this OS or upgrade to marshmallow? ATM I am using my galaxy S5 which also has lollipop and works fine. ( guess I just answered my own question lol) I also ordered a PNY high performance 32 GB SD card to go with it, not sure if it is any good or not but the specs sounded good :)

got tablet 2 weeks ago its awesome I wouldn't upgrade I heard marshmallow made problems

P3S folks definitely seem to like this tablet and you can't beat the price.
I did quite a bit of reading about best tab to use and this one seem to get the 2nd mount of ticks behind the Ipad mini2. I couldn't justify the cost of the Ipad as a dedicated tab.

Marshmallow improves battery life significantly, but no other reason to switch.

I upgraded to marshmallow, but didn't have any problems yet. What problems are there?

I read there was a WIFI issue with MM, this may have been fixed since the post, i'm not sure.

Haven't experienced any issue, but must admit haven't flown much since the upgrade.

if not broke don't worry about it

completely updated to current android and shield versions,

compass thing was short lived and not an issue with mine.
that was 2 updates ago.....

battery is definitely lasting longer
memory and sd works as one large drive for storage if needed.

I have had zero issues ,except 2 updates back compass froze once,
it was fixed easy with running a compass app ,
then update fixed completely

runs fine on 6.0 and shield 1.1
