No Radar View on Iphone?

Hey Guys, I don't see the 'radar view' on my Iphone 6 .. I do see it on my wife's Ipad Mini.. Is this because the screen is too small or is there a setting to bring it up on the iphone? Thanks..

If you tap on the right top corner of the small map view at the bottom left side, the map will change in compass/radar view
