NEW POWER/RANGE MOD IN THE UK!!!

I have been using my P3A with it elite antenna (as used by dbs) for a while now, and have been looking to add power Amos to the setup as I live in an open, but WiFi congested area.

Whilst searching the Web I found Horizon FPV Antennas

They are based in the UK but also have a setup in the USA where they sell the dbs mod also, over here they are the only authorised dealer for itelite panels in the UK.

I have been dealing with will who has been very helpful, and thoughroulhy checked my controllers outputs and signal strength before modding as I was concerned something was not right.

I have attached some photos and look forward to giving a review on the performance! !!

Just over £200 but I had purchased the itelite antenna already so expect to pay a little more don't quote me but I think it was in the region of £90-100

I assume its to extend your range but what are the claims of distance improvement, signal strength etc?

I have asked will at horizon your questions, as for range you will all have to wait for my test results! I'd be surprised if I wasn't getting well over 5 miles. Next stop battery mod!!

this kit is capable of 10 miles as it was the same setup we used but the antennas were the Horizon Dual ELRS and tripod mounted .

this has already been proved see this link .

this is what it is capable of .

Changing to the ELRS antenna kit will give better results.

point them to this PAGE ,

Then they can purchase what they need if the have some of the items already.

so with the power from the RF amp kit using 9 db antenna the EIRP would be 3.97164

if we use the 14 db ELRS set then it would be 12.55943 EIRP ( thats what we used on the 10 mile Flight.)

There a three kits in this range , different Amps , Lipos so a few combinations.

getting 5 miles you need power on the UAV , power is everything , we have a mod of that as well.
By the way the 10 mile flight did not use the power mod on the UAV just the normal lipos but a 50/50 mod to the UAV by Horizon.

For anyone not sure what ELRS is its a extra long range antenna made by horizon. I will be getting my Controller back Monday Tuesday but probably won't be able to test until the weekend ☺
