Well, this is my first post, I also had my first flight a week ago, before I get into the flight I will tell you that I didnt aquire my P3S as a kit, it was piecemeal from parts purchased primarily from ebay
I first purchased the craft without battery or RC, then came the RC, both in perfect condition.
Then their where two separate battery purchases, charger ect....
Looking back their were something like 8 purchases until I assembled everything needed to fly, also purchased was more props, anti drop pins and the rubber cushion thingys.
I read many post, manuals and watched lots of youtube posts before my first flight but it doesn't prepare you for the excitement and FEAR of the first one, I set my RTH altitude to 350 M it was WAY TO HIGH, I was afraid it was taking off to oblivion but it came right back to me.

Sorry this was long winded, I look forward to many more flights and posts.

Hello,
Overall it was a little cheaper not alot though, I did also enjoy bringing everything together and I was thrilled with the condition everything was in, the craft itself was like new not a mark on it the same for the AC.
Got lucky on the two batteries I purchased separately, one had 16 charges on it and I paid $70 the second had 1 charge on it and I paid $75 , both were OEM dji.
I also purchased range mod antennas and a Inspire 1 tablet/phone holder and made it fit the standard, easy mod.
The range extender antenna mod required no drilling, it was easy to replace the multi direction antenna and remove the two internal antenna and mount on the outside.

Yip nice going,,you know with this Hobbie addiction thing you need a spare drone,,,started on the next one yet,,:) or do you have others,,,

The best part is your starting with the knowledge of what's inside and how it works,,that's great , good to have that ability to start from the ground up,,no pun intended,

I have flown my P3S 12 times and today when I landed a gust of wind tipped it back I was in the middle of shutting down and the two rear blades hit the gravel very small chips on blades. Should I replace blades or keep using. I started it back up and it flew fine no weird noises just new to this

Post pictures of your blades, most are going to say, blades are cheap just replace.

How are you powering off the motors?

Holding left control down, or the same as starting the motors?

Any chips or dents that you can felt with your finger or your nail should be replaced.
Can it still work, yes. Should it still be used, no.

Great job, it's also more fun (at least in my view) to make it work as apposed to just opening up a box and flying. And yes a better RTH altitude would have been around 50 meters.
