P4 Firmware New Phantom 4 RTK Firmware now available. Remote ID enabled.

I have installed the firmware onto the aircraft and controller.
I cannot find where the Remote ID Serial Number is. I search the controller in both the Fly Now Mode to include all menus and also in the opening power on screeen where you get the Aircraft and Remote Serial Numbers.

Also the firmware says Beta.
So this drone is still listed in my Maintenance with a Remote ID due by March 16, 2024.

Without the Remote ID Serial Number you cannot update the sUAS registration.

I know that DJI (says) they cannot upgrade the P4P Pro, but in one of the original messages, they said, that because the P4P v2 uses a different transmission system (the whole reason for the v2) it was programmable and would be done by mid-December. The P4P RTK is the same transmission system, so I am wondering if the firmware upgrade for the RTK will work in the P4P v2.

The remote ID is probably the AC Serial number, like it is in the Mavic 3
Okay, thanks. I am waiting for this Remote ID update to show in the FAA DOC database and I can then officially list my drone as Remote ID compliance in its Maintenance section.

I'm glad someone got info from DJI concerning why they don't have firmware for the P4P v1. I never got an answer from them. Had to buy a RID module anyway for my Mavic Pro v1. Well, it's on backorder like most are. Will have to research where it should be mounted on both drones so not to block GPS.

As of December 6, 2023 the DOC (Declaration of Compliance) is posted in the FAA DOC database.

Remote ID is now in full compliance for the Phantom 4 RTK. (Also Phantom 4 Pro V2)

Hope all is well with you,

I'm new to this site and to drones, I have a Phantom4 RTK. I've been reviewing You Tube videos, DJI site tutorials and everything out there to get a hold of this technology. To date this is what I've done:
Charged and checked all batteries, all good
Bought new data cables and successfully connected
Have DJI assistant 2 on my PC and can connect to it and it recognizes my drone and controller
I've updated the controller through DJI assistant to where it says current at 02.02.0614
Updated the drone through DJI assistant to where it says current at 02.02.0616

I've been to DJI website for Phantom4 RTK downloads but that gets confusing and overwhelming, have to take it slow.

The RTK firmware is set to 02.02.0614 I have not attempted to do anything with that, still searching for info

Have gotten Geo zone update messages not sure of these

I'm a land surveyor and would like to bring the Litchi app in and use it but have been unsuccessful

I would be grateful if someone can take a look at these uncertainties and let me know what you think? Thank you in advance for your concern.

Respectfully,
Paul

This is assuming you have the controller with the built in screen.

0616 is correct for the drone. It has Remote ID making you compliant in terms of the new Remote ID regulations.
0614 is correct for the controller (If using the standard controller with built in screen).

Geo Zone updates, update the various areas that DJI thinks are areas where you should not fly or have hazards. They used to lock you out of flying in some areas, making you show that you have permission until unlocking, but just recently made it so the drone will inform you of an area and allow you to decide if you can legally fly there. DJI's former interpretation did not necessarily match the FAA, but now it for the most part is close. Just update these when asked. Before flying in your preflight you decide if you can legally fly in an area and if you can, if you get prompted by DJI just accept responsibility and fly. Just remember, anything from DJI letting you fly there is not FAA permission such as a LAANC for controlled air space.

You cannot use Litchi on the standard controller. If you want to use Litchi and to be able to add modeling missions better than your standard controller's DJI GS RTK app, you will need the SDK controller and then you can use Litchi or DJI Pilot and other apps.

Hello jaja,

The controller does have the built in screen. Thanks for getting back to me and taking the time to amply explain your answers, I appreciate it. That helps a lot!
