His lead story was about a "drone" that was almost hit by a passenger plane in Australia. The plane supposedly turned and missed it my 75 feet laterally and 100 feet vertically.

It supposedly happened on May, 9, 2014.

But then it shows a quote from the Wall Street Journal dated the same day that says" FAA:U.S. Airliner Nearly Collided With Drone in March"

He also said there were 7,500 in the U.S.and growing at a clip of 100 per month.

Imm not really sure what your getting at. They were two separate incidents weren't they? Romote control drones are the new laser pointers and if people keep abusing them we all suffer.

I just don't know when the event in Australia really happened. On May 9, the same day the Wall Street Journal cited an event from March? Seems like quite a coincidence to me. Or the story misreported the dates.

Ah ha! Just as I thought. It happened in March, but Cavuto made it look like it happened in May. He is rehashing old stories.
