For those of you that are on the fence about purchasing a Phantom 3, BUY IT!!!! I come from a Phantom 2 with a H3-3D, GoPro 3, Black Pearl monitor, and all the bells and whistles. Flying Phantom 3 after flying my Phantom 2 is literally night and day. I'm using the iPad mini retina display and the quality is phenomenal in the Dji Pilot app. Guys don't think twice, I will guarantee you will not be disappointed...

I agree its a fine machine!
I just switched to 16x9 for the stills, I recommend it!

How did you get that amazing contrast?

If you set the still to 16:9 all it does is chop 375 lines of picture off the top and bottom. Resolution of the 4:3 stills is 4000x3000. 16:9 stills are 4000x2250.

If you want to end up with 16:9, you can get better pictures by shooting in 4:3 and then cropping them afterwards by selecting the best framing.

Wow, that is one amazing picture you got there!

I am very interested and probably going to go P3 at some point (currently has two P2's and various other quads) but I am concerned about the latency (lag) in the LightBridge downlink for the application of true FPV flight. I currently fly P2 with 5.8 Immersion vTx and the latency is basically zero. I've done searches and the feedback from practical use seems to be all over the board.

Can you shed some light on this?.... I'd like to be able to use HD video goggles with the downlink via HDMI (or whatever the available output plug is).

Thanks :)

@Rothgarr With Snapped, the only options I use in order are Details, HDRscape, and last Drama. It's incredible what you can do to a picture with that app! Here's my example...
