I just managed to launch one of the motor C clips into the Black Hole of my shop. Does anyone know what size that C clip is?

What you actually want is an "E" clip, as the "C" clip doesn't have the protrusion.
The motor shaft is 3mm, so the e-clip would be spec'd for that size shaft, but may actually be like a 2.5mm.
Hobby shops should have them in stock, if you can't locate them elsewhere.

That is great information. The thrust washer and E-clip upgrade are definitely a good investment, and can be done while
upgrading the bearings.
Seeing as how the E-clip is the only thing holding the motor together, it should be referred to as the "Jesus Clip"
