This looks very clever indeed... water proof and full autonomous flight.

it looks very sexy and quite cool... but.... no gimbal? no access to battery? did i understand it won't go more than 5m from you on follow me . Has it got gps to help in non tethered flight?

A fab toy and ideal for surfers, dingy sailors, etc Fun but limited and quite pricey!

Biggest drawback to me is not being able to replace the battery.Plus their website does not say what expected lifespan of battery is,what a replacement would cost, etc etc

Don't hold your breathe for a simple drone to have that in the near future...

"Simple" drones don't have GPS either.
But within 18 months we will see hobby drones with obstacle avoidance and soon after I think it will be standard on most drones. I think by the end of this year we will be able to add after market obstacle avoidance to our drones.

Have you seen this from this year's CES conference?

It's all well and good, but these have very limited sense and avoid range...

What the hobby needs is a way to sense and avoid other aircraft, so a sense range of around 1000m or so.... as I said, "Don't hold your breath!"
It can be done, but at what size and cost....

This Kiwi chap is on the right track...
